NEW SYNC 3.0 Build 20204 Nav Android Auto/Apple Carplay

Hello,

yesterday, I have updated my Sync3 (Model 2016) from 1.0 to 3.0 from USB with your files.
After "Installation complete" message, I rebooted Sync and now I can´t start my Navigation. The Map version is also gone. Look at my picture.

What can I do now? Thank you.

that's a common bug, shut down the car and start again, nav comes back

That isn't the North American version.

Just noticed that as well but the system is working normally. Will attempt a master reset sometime to see if it will switch to the NA version.

Yes I thought so too, drudge is from Germany but his shows NA

FYI with every update the compass goes out of whack at first, then as u drive it orientates itself

Upgraded earlier today, Android Auto is stupid smooth now. About to run a few errands, will see if anything else notable pops up. Hopefully they improved nav and media audio level handling.

I started with a system reboot.

While doing the updating, everything went fine until the turn the car off. Then when I turned the car on, the Sync screen was blank & the USB light was constant on. The radio was still playing, even when I opened the door. I waited about an hour & still no Sync screen, no blinking from the USB.

I sat in the car at idle fir about 4 gals. before I gave up. I turned the car off until I go to work tomorrow.

Any ideas?

ur probably fine. I once got it stuck like that when I turned the car off opened the door but then decided to quickly turn on the radio. Usually fixes itself after shut off and turn back on.

UK Sync 3 updated the other day, so far no negatives with putting the US version on.

One benefit, which I don't know is for this update or iOS 11 or both is that when I hit low fuel today, the radio sent me a maps notification and routes to the nearest fuel stations !

Sync 3 v3 finally allows for receiving text messages and allowing nav entry while the vehicle is in motion. Change as-built to:
7D0-02-01 x7xx xxxx xxxx

This will not work or prior versions of Sync 3

You loose 911 assist if you do this. FYI... You crash, air bags deploy, you can't move, 911 won't be called automatically. Use at your own risk.

I made the change and my car did not crash. Maybe I did it wrong.

I know you mean it kills 911 call after a crash. But am REALLY interested in how you found that out.
