There is no doubt the results could be different on same day, but they did have same drivers. But just shows how good the Alpha is for a luxury sedan to match time with a track pack GT350.:cheers:So basically you guys are comparing a ats-v magazine article on a car that was tested on a different day, different driver? Because I looked on the web and all I see is talk on the Camaro site. A gt350 is not a track built car, it's a production car. Just like the ZL1, 1LE, GT350R etc. you go to the dealer, you order/buy it and drive off. A track built car is a GT4, FR350S, GT350R-C etc.
A .01 is hardly anything to cheer about.
How hard is it to get a GT350 today? Pretty easy. They could do same day testing. Why not run it against the M3 or M4 also? There is no doubt the results could be different on same day, but they did have same drivers. Just the fact that they're close, says something about the Alpha Platform. So basically you guys are comparing a ats-v magazine article on a car that was tested on a different day, different driver? There are a lot of head to head I wish they would do. Hopefully we will see some soon. What has surprised me so far is how little track times the gt350 have done. I believe Chuckawalla is the only one that is not a R. The car has been out for over a year and we only have one track test?:headbonk:How hard is it to get a GT350 today? Pretty easy. Drive a camaro or mustang back to back with the ATS-V. It's a much quieter ride and the interior is put together better. How hard is it to get a GT350 today? Pretty easy. They could do same day testing. Why not run it against the M3 or M4 also?
Tell me, what makes a cars chassis luxury? The color? The leather? The interior?
I never understood what people mean by that. The acts-v has brembos, Goodyear tires? Magride? It's a 2 door? It seats 4-5? It's the same chassis used in the Camaro. Is the Camaro a luxury car?
I know the difference betweeen a luxury car and muscle / sports car. I'm talking chassis.Drive a camaro or mustang back to back with the ATS-V. It's a much quieter ride and the interior is put together better.
Worst ride ever from a CTS?I know the difference betweeen a luxury car and muscle / sports car. I'm talking chassis.
Everyone knows a luxury cars interior is quieter, well supposed to be anyhow. My girlfriends Lexus RC 350 F is a chatter box. The Cadillac she had before that was a cts and that had the worst ride ever. Her Nissan Maxima aka maxipad was a pretty comfortable car.
Guess you never been to Michigan.Worst ride ever from a CTS?
So basically what Chevy trend is saying is if ford were to take the R add a blower or turbos it'd be the king of the street!"Imagine a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat that can corner, a Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 with an additional 124 horsepower, and a BMW M4 with great steering. The Camaro ZL1 is all of these things and more."
WOW
I was quoting the Car and Driver article I linked. And I don't think that's what they were implying lolSo basically what Chevy trend is saying is if ford were to take the R add a blower or turbos it'd be the king of the street!
