Wow really? Just because the R is lesser made you dismiss it? How many ZL1's have you seen? Right now the ZL1 is more rare than a R!
Since when did you work for GM and decide how many ZL1's to build? The Z28 couldn't even sell out.

Hmmm the GT350/R has more one offs. The ZL1 again a 1Le with a blower. I could buy a GT throw on a blower and blow the ZL1 away for still less then 65k.

Stock for stock, sticker for sticker, the ZL1 is a faster car than the R. With or without the GM/Ford A10.



Also to the person who said it's not really a fair fight because one if FI, it's just like the displacement issue. Doesn't matter how you get to the power, just matters that you got there.

If the GT 350/R had 650hp the ZL1 wouldn't stand a chance. Even the 7.0 z28 was HP underrated and still out torqued the voodoo and lost. Imagine a gt350/r with 570rwhp. The ZL1 is done. I'm not impressed by the ZL1, again it's a 1Le with a blower for 20k more. Wooppie shit.

The power to weight ratio is higher with the GT350R. If the GT350R had 610 crank hp it would be a fair race. The base R is 3662 pounds / 526 = 6.96

If the R had 610hp / 3662 = 6.003

ZL1 3900 pounds / 650 = 6.0

That's a race I wanna see.

I like a good cowboy butt, not gonna lie. And again, if the ZL1 I just a 1LE with a blower, it shouldn't be that special. But it is. The 1LE is just an SS with tires and brakes right, shouldn't be special, but it is. Why is this? Because regardless of the awful sight lines and lack of practicality, the Camaro is a performance bargain.

I never had a Z, and I 100 percent always have said that the Z was over priced. And the 1LE is for sure the better bargain.


But you are right about the no side by side race, (btw I was just kidding about the bench racing lol). But we did get a side by side during the BDC with the R and the 1LE and it was pretty close. Close enough that we can put them in the same conversation for sure.

Thats a funny comment! Ride a 300 lbs motorcycle with a 120 hp and come back. You know that 120 hp is more than enough to compensate the 300 lbs right? Its 2.5 lbs per hp, which is way way above even supercar weight to power ratio. Bugatti chiron for example have an estimated 2.93 lbs per hp.

Take a 120hp motorcycle with a 300 lb guy, then race a 240hp one with a 600lb guy. Better illustration.
