I had Jaeger on both my 16 and 17 and liked them real well. Never tracked cars but normal higher speed driving like on turnpikes etc. they never came loose. And easy to pull off if want when washing car and put back on.

I've had trouble with using double sided tape also. Had to go to as much as 3 layers sometimes to make up for the uneven surfaces. Ordered the Jaeger Brother guards yesterday so I'll see how they do. At least my 3M double sided tape expenditures will go down if they work.

Get the non deluxe which is thinner and use gorilla tape, do some sanding on the bumper and blocks,,its been solid since.

if youre running aggressive wheel and tires, make sure you're not whacking them off over bumps in which you will need to trim the top of the guards. (look for rubbing marks.)

I’ve had Jaeger bros on my ‘14 since I picked it up from the dealer lot. Good quality.
May not be a sexy bolt on but really effective and subtle.

I also have Jaeger Brothers guards. They’ve solidly built and never come loose (at least at normal road speeds, I don’t track the car). One small issue...the adhesive strip on the little foam spacer that buts up against part of the side skirt is coming a bit loose, but it’s not a big deal and easily fixed. My car is a daily driver used in various weather conditions/temperatures, so the guards do get a workout.

They work well at keeping crud off of the car, but there is a small gap between the side skirt and the guard which allows some small rocks and dirt to lay on the sill just behind the guard. Running those foam Rock Blockers along with the guards probably offers the best results.

My Jaeger Broths guards came yesterday. They follow an idea I had played with in my mind for securing standard plastic guards to the front wheel wells - but their execution with the attached windlace is much better. Looks like they should work very well. Arrived just in time too - noticed one of my old ones is almost completely loose of the 3M tape and dangling.

I’ve often wondered if most of the road grime and impact damage you get down the side of the door and that kidney area is mostly from the fender vent anyways as opposed to being from tires slinging up from under the car? Debris can travel through that vent in the aft I see fender well and then out the fender vent, taking it all straight down the side of the car!

Are these mainly to keep the rocks and debris from piling up on the shelf of the side skirt or do they do anything to protect the impact area just aft of the door that takes such a beating?

So far I've not had any damage on my GT350 on the rear fender flare - I have about 7300 miles on it and Xpel on the fenders at about 3,000 miles. I also have the foam blocks in the vent. I think with stock tires the side splitters probably keep most of the road gravel off of the rear fenders (I said most - not all). So it's possible stones shooting through the fender vent may cause some of the paint damage. Small splash guards add an addition measure of protection in deflecting some gravel damage from the roadway. I installed the Jaeger Broth splash guards today and they also block that vent so that stones can't directly access it. But some could bounce over the splash guards and down the top of the splitter if the foam blocks are not used too. But I like them - good design and easy to install and remove.

My ZL1 guards detached as well, I removed them. Glad someone posted this, not surprised there are others.

My ZL1's have detached as well, the double stick tape detached from the guard but has stayed stuck to the car. ZL1 sent me some more pads to use, but I will be looking at the Jaegers.

So you guys are all having your detach from the car, are we just talking about the 3m tape? Mine are held in tension by the clips they provided and I'm not seeing any movement at all after 3 months so far.

This happened to me as well last year within a week of installing. I removed them, cleaned up and used 3M tape to put them back on. No troubles since.
