Where is everyone mounting their amps? I have a soundqubed 1200.1 bass amp and a Rockford power 400.4 for highs and I was thinking of finding a way to mount them in the spare tire well but besides using mdf and setting it in there I'm out of ideas.

I'll be ordering a box for 2 10s so I won't have the amp rack option. They're currently mounted on the back of my seats and I want the final setup to be as clean as possible so I'll be moving them.

Just got done wiring mine up, and I am more then impressed with how it sounds. I don't have any rattle at all. The wires mentioned in another thread were great to jump into and routing my power wire to the battery was easy.

The box is much smaller then the previous box I had this p3 installed in and it doesn't have a port. But it still produces a nice crisp sound.

That's where I'm mounting mine, in the spare tire well... it's been kind of painful because there is the spare tire mount to contend with and the floor of the well is quite uneven. :(

My plan will be to measure and cut out a circle of mdf slightly larger than the well diameter and wedge it down in there. That way I can bolt down my amps and hopefully nothing will rattle. Just need to find the time to get all this done.

Just got my box in, they packed it well! Haven't taken all the wrapping off yet. I was going to get a 5 channel amp but now that I found the occupancy mode time alignment setting of the base stereo, I don't know, maybe I can use my vintage Hifonics Thor. Will def make that single 10" pound! Can go with stock speakers till I blow them! And I have never seen this before but look what I found! At Walmart of all places. A line level converter WITH a subwoofer control knob AND remote turn on lead! Perfect since my vintage amp has no speaker level inputs. But now I need a subwoofer crossover. Does anyone make a simple cheap one?

Pretty much what I have done... I dropped the mdf down to the point where it sits on the spare tire mount so I can bolt it down, then added some "tabs" around the perimeter for the mdf to rest on so it won't rock side/side or front/back.

If you go with a 5 channel amp, get one with a built in sub crossover and you're set...

Got my box put together today. Not powered yet so I can't hear it. For those like me who were concerned putting amps in the other side and air ventilation, don't be. There's a 2" gap at the top so it's not sealed off. I think I'm just going to power the sub with stuff I have right now while I ponder what components to replace the rest of the system with. Going to use my Earthquake 200x cause it has a built-in crossover.

I simply stapled two 2x3" pieces of the hook side of Velcro to the bottom. Keeps it in place but makes it easy to take out too.
I plan on having this in place for track days, so velcro is a no go.

I have not found anything onling to show where or how people have mounted the boxes. I am sure I can figure it out when I decide to start the project, but going in knowing in advance is helpful

You can just use some L brackets and screw it in.
