This is so confusing haha the shaker pro makes it even more confusing! I wonder if the amp for the stock sub is controlling anything other than "the sub". And was wondering if I can simply just get rid of the stock sub and amp (that is, if it's not powering anything else) :ninja:

I hope they make one for the side of the trunk like they have for the last gen. I would much prefer it be a little out of the way instead of completely blocking the rear seat pass through. Unless it adds structural support like an x brace which I'm sure this does not.

I just unplugged and unbolted mine (the amp is mounted on the back of the sub). You may want a new trunk carpet to deal with the big void that's left in its place.

Eric did you do any audio mods to your car?
Hey Jason... it's in the works but not completed. Stock head unit feeding a Helix DSP Pro going to a pair of JBL MS-A1004 amps & a pair of MS-A5001 amps. Speakers are a mishmash... Seas tweeters, Audible Physics midrange, Stereo Integrity midbass and Acoustic Elegance subs.

For you guys with a forward facing box, how much space is between the front of the enclosure and the back of the seats?

Getting ready to order my box. Wonder if they make the single to the side in a front firing. Still not sure what's best. I have a Kicker C-10 new in the box I want to use.

Yeah I see that now. May not have built one yet. I'm gonna give up output for quality, I'm sure it will still be twice the bass my stock Acura had, and it had quite a bit.

The amp only has preamp inputs, so you'll also need a line output converter (LOC) to convert the speaker level signal from your rear speakers to a preamp signal for the amp.

Since the speaker has dual 4ohm voice coils, you'd want to wire them in parallel to present a 2ohm load to the amp and get the full 500 watts of output from the amp.
