I think my replacement parts were close to 20k. A voodoo long block was at least 15 when I looked.
You didn't understand my post. I was talking about what the parts + assembly cost Ford vs. what they charge us if we want to buy them. At 20k I believe they are making a lot of money on the Voodoo.

Ah ok, but what it cost them is kinda irrelevant to pontificate about since we never see that cost. They maybe making a lot but how do you factor in R&D? and since most of the people buying the block will be warranty claims how much are they really making?

Out of curiosity, if the engine blows outside of warranty and you have to pay out of pocket. Does the new engine come with X warranty after it's been bought / installed from Ford or any service installer?
