Stuck tight, couldn’t twist it off anti-clockwise, both of us tried it, maybe they used red thread lock

@Flamesy stronger arms, or vice grips and masking tape the shifter up then a shop rag and then try twist it, should work.

i had the same issue with mine i'm a big guy i couldn't budge mine for the life of me, another lad came over also a big guy couldn't budge it I think even spider tried it and it wouldn't shift.
I took it round to a friends house and was bitching at him about he said let me look at it and it just one handed took it straight off. This guy weighs 9 stone wet through!
Take it to the smallest person you know they'll get it right off.
