I had some Xpel laying around and decided to protect the rock guard under our side splitter. The ABS plastic is soft. The cup 2's throw rocks and debris like nobody's business. I recently traded in one of my GT350Rs with 4700 miles on it and the underside of the side splitters was chewed up badly. While my car was fresh and new, I decided to take some of that extra Xpel I had and put it go good use.

Your underside is shinny! Great idea, to minimize the damage.
Speaking from experience, it won't be shiny for long.....

It's a good way to protect against unnecessary damage. I havent looked to see if the surfboard can be bought separately, but my gut says you probably cant.

Good idea Tom.

I'm also curious if the “surfboards” are removabl.e. I am going to see if I can take the ones off my stock rocker panels, and install them on the Shelby ones when I get the car back.

They are removable..... its a question if they are for sale separately. I'm not kidding, if you have soft R compound tires, the side splitters gat chewed up bad. I believe that's what the surfboard is for.

Edited to add:
The R that I traded in was perfect except for how the side splitters were chewed up in only 4700 miles.
