Was yours an engine back, catback or axleback system? At what rev range would it drone? Do you know which states make it illegal unless factory original? Thanks for letting me bust your balls a little.I had an xforce system on my SS. It droned and was a pain in the ass. Also in some states it is not legal to have a bimodal system unless it comes from the factory
It had pacemaker headers and was a catback, it droned right around 1850-2200rpm which was where the car would naturally sit.Was yours an engine back, catback or axleback system? Its actually a decent price for a full system with bi-modal capability. By comparison KPM are offering a system for ~4,000 without the bi-modal systemseems pretty expensive - compared to other exhaust systems.
I received a MBRP cat back delivered to my door from the USA for just on $1000.
Can you let me know which company you bought that from please? We've got Magnaflow Comp cat back in the box in the garage, just need the car to fit it too! We paid $1650.00 delivered to our door.
Saw they do exhuast for EB also for around $1300. is that going to void my factory warrenty? and does that classified as modification for insurance?
sweet, looks like it wont void my warrenty. cheersMy message to Ford:
Hi Ford Australia, I have an Ecoboost Mustang on order and would like to install a stainless exhaust system from the end of the OEM downpipe back to the tailpipes. I've spoken to the technicians at my Ford dealer and they don't believe a non OEM exhaust system would alter the operating parameters of the engine as long as the stock downpipe was in place. They recommended contacting Ford Australia to confirm this as my concern is that I do not breach the warranty conditions. I'm aware that the non OEM exhaust system would not be covered by the vehicle warranty.
Reply from Ford:
We would always suggest to proceed with caution with any non-genuine parts in our vehicles, as we haven’t tested for compatibility or durability. You are right we will continue to honor the warranty supplied on your vehicle as this covers manufacturing defects only. Hope this helps. Thanks FordService^CZ
Re insurance: Ask the Insurance company upfront and tell them everything. It shouldn't be a problem because no one pays for a genuine factory replacement exhaust system. As long as it passes a rego check for noise etc there shouldn't be an issue.
