Hi Yuvraj, I was looking at the cat back system or even just axle back system (although can't find a price for this on their website). My brother has the Varex mufflers on a 302 Windsor engine (in a GT40 though which has different exhaust routing I'll admit) but when open sounds incredible.
Obviously I'd like to hear the exhaust in person and preferably all 3 versions (axle back, cat back and engine back) before I pull the trigger. The YouTube video of a 2015 Mustang with the Varex mufflers sounds great however.

Saw they do exhuast for EB also for around $1300. is that going to void my factory warrenty? and does that classified as modification for insurance?

I had an xforce system on my SS. It droned and was a pain in the ass. Also in some states it is not legal to have a bimodal system unless it comes from the factory

Was yours an engine back, catback or axleback system? At what rev range would it drone? Do you know which states make it illegal unless factory original? Thanks for letting me bust your balls a little.

It had pacemaker headers and was a catback, it droned right around 1850-2200rpm which was where the car would naturally sit.

I know that bi-modal systems are problematic in Victoria, I don't know about the other states.

seems pretty expensive - compared to other exhaust systems.

I received a MBRP cat back delivered to my door from the USA for just on $1000.

Its actually a decent price for a full system with bi-modal capability. By comparison KPM are offering a system for ~4,000 without the bi-modal system

I reckon the money could be better spent - eg suspension

Did you think about either just a H PIPE or X PIPE (resonator delete) . Low cost and it will give it a better sound be deleting the resonator . Save $3500 and re use it for more mods !

My message to Ford:
Hi Ford Australia, I have an Ecoboost Mustang on order and would like to install a stainless exhaust system from the end of the OEM downpipe back to the tailpipes. I've spoken to the technicians at my Ford dealer and they don't believe a non OEM exhaust system would alter the operating parameters of the engine as long as the stock downpipe was in place. They recommended contacting Ford Australia to confirm this as my concern is that I do not breach the warranty conditions. I'm aware that the non OEM exhaust system would not be covered by the vehicle warranty.

Reply from Ford:
We would always suggest to proceed with caution with any non-genuine parts in our vehicles, as we haven’t tested for compatibility or durability. You are right we will continue to honor the warranty supplied on your vehicle as this covers manufacturing defects only. Hope this helps. Thanks FordService^CZ

Re insurance: Ask the Insurance company upfront and tell them everything. It shouldn't be a problem because no one pays for a genuine factory replacement exhaust system. As long as it passes a rego check for noise etc there shouldn't be an issue.

looked into it with my SS, but heard too many stories of drone - then again, my KPM/Streetfighter full exhaust droned on the hwy anyway

also heard that the cops caught on to the "Varex" stamped on the tips and defected cars for the illegal bi-modal valve - this is in NSW

If you change the cat on the exhaust, it won't pass emissions testing. This un roadworthy, you have been warned. It is all good when nothing happens however when it does it could be a pain. Had my fair share of Modding dramas with my old xr6 Turbo. If you mod, be ready to pay if anything goes wrong.
