I return home in 2 months from this deployment im on and plan to get a GT premium w/ PP and recaros if they have them on the lot.

how much of a price deference is there from true car to x-plan? can price be negotiated down any future?

also, how much did you pay for your gt prem PP w/ truecar or x-plan before taxes?

im reading all I can on this but am curious if I should sign up for Mustang club of America for x-plan or just use truecar.

my plan is to talk the dealer down to 35-36k. is this realistic?

Real easy to figure out. Go on True Car and configure the car you want and see what dealers are willing to sell it for. Then configure the car on Edmunds or one of the other sites that have MSRP and invoice pricing take .4% off invoice and add $275 and you have X-plan. If there are incentives at the time you buy you can subtract those too.

My Ecoboost Premium with Performance Package and navigation stickered for just shy of $33k, invoice was just over $30k and with $1k of incentives I got the car with X-Plan for just over $29k

x-plan is crap, if your willing to negotiate go that way! Working at a dealer albeit in the service department, but if i was a salesman i would love to sell you a car at x-plan. It makes more sense for the dealer to sell you at x-plan because they still keep their holdback, x-plan for my car was like 37500, i was able to negotiate the car for 36,076 without ever mentioning x-plan.

it looks like a gt prem w/ pp and sec system and park assist. after xplan and current incentives puts the price around 35,567

with MCA and x-plan, can I add my wife to it and she have her own pin so we can get 2 cars?

You "should" be able to do better than x-plan. By how much, depends on where/who you buy from. What I did was get the invoice price and x-plan price of my spec'd out car used them to an idea of what I could pay. If you use x-plan you have no negotiating in the final price of the car. If you decide to haggle on the price, you have to look at the dealer fees that will be added on. (they vary by state) I was able to get $900 below invoice, but my dealer fees were $398. My final price was about $700-$750 below x-plan before incentives.
This was on a 2016.

so x-plan is basically invoice price? im just making sure I have this all down before I go to dealer. I suppose I will negotiate with them at first and if they jerk me around I will use x-plan as a back up

hope I didn't just spend 50 bucks at MCA for nothing if x-plan isn't worth while

X-plan is usually a few hundred above invoice price and the dealer can only charge up to $100 in doc. fees. Are looking to get a 2015 or 2016? If a 2015 you should have NO problems getting below x-plan by a decent amount.

So as you can see, i got an amazing deal by bypassing X-Plan all together. If you want to settle go for it, but X-Plan is a joke.

Step 1. Go on www.dealerconnection.com
Step 2. Call as many dealers and offer $500 below invoice as well as any incentives you qualify for.
Step 3. Congrats on your new Mustang :)
