wrench light on dash came on ..

I was low on fuel but the fuel light had not come on yet ... A wrench light came on and the car started running poorly .. Just after the wrench light came on so did the low fuel light ... I stopped and got some fuel and the wrench light and low fuel light went off .. Now the car runs great again ..

Could the car being that low on fuel set off that wrench light ? Maybe low pressure from the fuel pump from the lack of fuel in the tank cause this ?

I hooked up my hand held tuner and checked for any codes and it had no codes ..

Car runs great now ...I'm just confused as to why the wrench light came on ..

something triggered limp mode. Idk what if you have no codes, I hit the gas light all the time and that has never happened to me. I've over-revd once about 500 rpm into redline and it came on. Its the car's way of protecting itself so you restart the motor to get it out of limp mode.

You shouldn't have any problems

If the fuel level was low enough to lose fuel pressure, it most likely set a DTC. If the issue went away once you fueled up, no need to worry.

I had limp mode come on after a week or 2 of ownership, but I called the service dept and they said not to worry as long as it "fixes" itself and drives normal afterwards. I haven't had it come back since.

Well the good news it has not happened again .... Fingers crossed ...

Probably bad fuel at the bottom at the tank or some shit at the bottom that set off the light.
