Wrap over racing stripes possible?

Really considering a dark wrap for awhile. Some sort of charcoal or dark grey. Is it possible to wrap over the factory racing stripes without damaging them later when the wrap comes off?

In my head I’m just picturing the wrap coming off and pulling up the stripes with it.

Just get new stripes after.

The right way to do it is to remove the stripes now. If you leave them and they're currently vinyl, you'll see the profile of the stripes through the wrap

Ah yea that makes sense. It’s just stripes, could always get another set.
