I drive my manual everyday even through city traffic. I can still sip a coffee, tap the phone, and shift gears with no issues.

After 54 years of nothing but manuals I have achieved stubborn old man status and I am not changing.

You will have more fun in an eco boost with a stick.

If the auto had been an option on the PP cars back when I ordered my '15, I very likely would have gone that way. My sometimes bum clutch knee is getting bummier all the time.

That said, my experience with the A10 in my F150 would probably have me picking the strangely geared manual in a 2018+ car. It certainly isn't a ZF8.

The mt82-D4 was made for boost. Ratios are perfect once you're putting out power.

Not sure if someone has had or driven both manual & automatic. Which one did you look the most for a daily driver?
Automatic, the 10 Speed is geared perfect for the torque band on the 2.3 turbo engine, every shift keeps you in the torque band, plus when the six speed manual crowd is wasting time shifting the automatic has already shifted into the next gear and just keeps pulling.

ah, the debate continues lol....... Driving a 5.0 manual car is far, far more engaging and enjoying than the auto. The exhaust will sound better, the drive will be more thrilling and the feel of being behind the wheel will promote more sensory response for the brain. I'm not naive and realize some can't because they never learned, or have age or injury to deal with, but I could never drive the automatic. Ever...

yea, I get it…I’m told it’s tough to speed shift a man pedal, with ones crocs in cruise mode 🫠

If you want to shift use the paddle shifters on the steering wheel, most high-level racing series today use a semi-automatic gear box shifting with paddle shifters on the steering wheel, why do they do that? because it is faster.

I am surprised the auto manufactures haven't taken the next step for performance cars. Sure they have paddle shifters on the automatics but they could take the next step.

I am not talking about exotic cars where technology has been pushed along with price tags for the cars that most will never have the money to own.
