I did have one made for me, I was accepting his generous offer for a good friend of mine who would absolutely love to have it. I'm not being greedy, I was looking out for a friend.

This is his to decide what he wants to do with it and I did not see any conditions noted. If he would like to not send it to me and be more specific on who is eligible thats fine with me.

Sure didn't mean to step on any toes

quick little question, i know this has beend adressed a little, but i still want to make sure, that i dont misunderstand anything. When i do this swap, can i still shift from S to D without applying pressure to the shifter?

Yes. That functionality exists in the shifter mechanism, not the knob itself.

i thougt so, thank you very much! I plan on getting a black one, and applying a inyl sticker or something as a logo. I have seen some knobs here with logos as well, how did you manage that, any suggestion for a complete beginner?

I'd ask GTP, he's applied vinyl to his. I have not.

It's just attaching a sticker. No big secret. Just wipe it off with some alcohol, then a moist microfiber, then a dry microfiber to make sure it's completely clean and dry. Apply sticker.

The knob is very susceptible to temperature differences so I'm not sure how well a sticker will hold up.

I'd like some comments / opinions on how well the black, chrome or brushed match the factory interior. From the pictures I've seen, none seem to give an oem appearance match.

Well the black ball is darker than anything else in the car so it is a universal match. I agree the other two are not as true to the other interior color s but having the ball stand out is half the reason to do this in the first place. I absolutely hate the OEM shifter especially since it is back on now while mine is undergoing the retrofit.

I agree with wanting it to stand out, but not by being kind of matching, but not really. I'd either want it to be a match to something in the close proximity or color matched to exterior.

Sorry but you specifically mentioned chrome and brushed aluminum. He clearly offers them color matched to most exterior colors.
I should have been more clear. I know he has them in matching exterior colors. My PREFERENCE would be to match the interior. If that is not possible, then I would use exterior color. My bad.
