winter tires for EB PP

alright so it seems like the reccomended size is 225/xx/18? as id assume its easier to find 18 inch tires than 19 and cheaper. so then my next question would be what are the best cheap 225 18" rims to get?

I got these wheels from Tire Rack. The wheels and the previously mentioned Dunlap Winter Maxx was about $1100.

My last three sets of winter tires have been Firestone Winterforce, Kumho Ecsata and now the Dunlap Winter Maxx.

The Winterforce are by far the best of the three in snow but are not good on dry pavement at all. The Kumhos are nearly as good in the snow and much better on dry and wet pavement. Compared to the Winterforce and Kumho tires the Winter Maxx is outstanding on wet and dry pavement and not quite as good in the snow. The Winterforce and Kumhos are studdable and have a much more agressive tread for snow.

IMHO, any winter tire is going to be far superior to an all season so don't sweat the choice. Reads the reviews and get what is in your price range.
