The Blizzak LM-32 is an amazing tire and hands down what I recommend for a lot of members plus my family back east used it and those still there use it so it has my vote.

The main thing is I know you said you dont have a garage but do you have anywhere you can store the PP wheels you have and grab a set of beaters for the snow, this way you dont have to remount and rebalance every season.

he can run 17s ....

Blizzak WS80 235/55/17

I'd like the taller sidewalls for potholes

I live in a townhouse and have a second set of wheels , you can make them into a nice TV table with some plywood and a cloth . :)

Haha, I would have stored them anywhere if I had atleast a townhouse :headbang: I am only 25 and live in a rented apartment, so no garage either. The only problem is carrying those PP wheels to and from the tire shop. Last time it was a pita. I had to borrow my friend's Dodge charger and then make multiple trips to and fro. And carrying them into the house by climbing down a few steps made me realize i have to go the gym :D:D

I prefer the winter performance tires because I live in the city and the streets get plowed and treated pretty quickly when there is a snowfall so my biggest issue is cold and wet pavement during the storms. But I am not giving up quite as much performance when I just have cold and dry pavement as I would if I went with studless Ice and Snows.
As Rock and Roll mentioned you don't get as many miles out of winter tires because they need deeper tread depth to be useful. They would still be better in cold than the performance pack tires, but their usefulness in snow really diminishes once you get below about 5/32 in tread depth. The other thing to look for is that the tread sipes are still there. This is what pulls the thin layer of water off the top of ice which is really what you slide on when sliding on ice.

If the LM-32s still have their sipes and still have decent tread depth, I'd say go with those.
These are the pics I got from him. I can't make out much from the pics, and not too experienced enough to assess the tread wear.

Also if you did want to go with a second set of rims, these were really helpful when I didn't have a garage.

LM-32's are good, though for deep snow you'd be a little better off with Blizzak WS80's (I got these). The LM-32 will feel much closer to a performance A/S tire on dry, cold roads than a dedicated ice & snow tire like the WS80. The ice & snow tires are a bit mushy but provide great grip.

Since you have the V6, I'd try to find something for a 17" rim (much, much cheaper than winters for 19" rims) and put them on that. The more sidewall, the better for snow, too.
I'd definitely go with a set of 17" wheels and tires. The price you pay for swapping tires on rims twice a year adds up.
Yes, this seems the best and safest option. However I am just looking to get through this winter, as by this time next year I may get another car or just get a winter beater once I settle down.

And thanks for the tip regarding tire covers.

No back porch/deck? You could store your current set outside in those nice tire storage bags. You honestly will be better off/the same on cost getting a set of 17" or 18" wheels & tires as the 19" winter tires.
We do have a kind of back porch. The only worry is they may be stolen if I put them there, although it's very rare.

Thanks for all of your inputs. After much pondering for a day, here is what I have decided before I go to sleep

I am getting locally a set of new OEM 18 inch wheels for around 400 with wheel caps and TPMS

Get a set of Blizzak DM-V2 for around 612 from TireRack after shipping and rebates. They are truck/suv tires but will they work fine on the Mustang? If not, I have to go with the WS-80's. I am planning to go with 235/50 stock size or would you recommend any other size?

So the total of this setup including installation would cost me around 1100. I should now find a place to store the PP wheels lol

235 is a good size for winters.

Those will work...but they might ride worse/be louder than a WS80, since they're a truck tire.

This is what I'd do, and with qty of 2 you can use their $100 off at checkout:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-NEW-235-5...0|Rim+Diameter:18&vxp=mtr&hash=item543b38ebaf

This is exactly what I got last year, though they were a little cheaper then:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-NEW-225-5...5|Rim+Diameter:18&vxp=mtr&hash=item2cb078917b

There's also these, which are tops for winter tires:
