Yep, my EB Premium has 'soundscreen'. Never noticed before.

I do not think Soundscreen makes a difference in whether it'll crack. I've had 4, but the first factory one was non-Soundscreen. My V6 did not have Soundscreen from the factory but now it does. ;) Honestly though, I don't see a difference in wind noise.

All the S550 oem windshields are crap and crack VERY easily.

I'd be willing to bet the cracks (if NOT direct hits to glass surface from road debris) are being caused by:

1) The front windshield not having any edge (or trim) protection. If anyone has ever nicked the edge of a windshield they KNOW all it takes is very little pressure OR "hit" on the edge of the glass for a crack to instantly appear.

2) For multiple replacements: Either the windshield frame is not 100% square OR when the glass is set into the frame, it was not level or square (dependent upon installer and amount of sealant used). If one or the other occurs, all it takes is one type of road distortion to tweak the frame via harshness or vibration and *crack*...

I wonder if there is a trim you can install.
I really don't like it being a huge gap between the metal and the windshield. Looks cheap.
