The front brakes are a lot more important than the rear brakes. That is why Ford and most all manufacturers put a lesser quality brake caliper in the rear to save money. I'm really surprised people are wanting to swap the brakes. You really have to be pushing your car a long time on the track to get these brakes to start to fade. This is not my experience (as I don't have my car yet) but the experience of many people here on this forum and reviews I have watched. I personally will put my money in other modifications that I will use.

Don't forget that I don't have the Brembos. And Ford brakes have not stood up to track use very well in the past. It's not about stopping power on the street, it is about repeated hard stopping with no fade.

Yes. Even if it wasn't, which it is, you could buy two PP front brake sets and just do some fabrication for the rears for basically the same price as just the front Wilwood set.
You're right about the rear brakes being good enough, I've abused them.

However you can't put a regular caliper on the back or you will lose the parking brake.

Ford decided to use a parking brake intergrated into the caliper instead of a drum.

So you have some options:
Leave it as is just change the pads and rotors
Convert to drum setup like the GT350 for 2-3k+
Get a Brembo rear brake kit or Wilwood rear brake kit with their parking brake for 2-3k+

This explains why the Wilwood Big Brake kit for the rear includes an emergency brake.

Lol these Stillen guys are bold.

"Mustang owners have long known that even the beefiest OEM brake systems available, even those tagged with the 'Brembo' name are just not up for any real challenges larger than headed to the store to pick up the milk."

All of you GT PP guys, throw out your Brembo 6 Piston Monobloc calipers, they are trash LOL:rolleyes:

Ok. Now to fork the thread a bit: If I go with the Wilwoods, which I think I will, what color calipers with Ingot Silver? Red or Black?

I have the Black Accent pack. Wheels, badging and spoiler are all black (including the front pony and rear GT).
