I'd say that would not be an ideal fit. 275 is a good size for a 10 inch wheel, 285 fits. That's an extra inch on the wheel compared to what you're trying to fit it on.

Another aspect to consider is ride height. With a slightly dropped vehicle, 1" or so, can also affect fender lip clearance. Camber plates can help here a bit, but again too much will cause uneven tire wear for extended regular use. I've been running 10" wide wheels with 275-35-19 and with about 3/16" clearance against the strut and an almost flush sidewall to fender lip alignment, I don't think I'd go much larger. This is with a 1.25" drop from stock and -1.5 camber. I have Vorshlag camber plates installed and that is the least amount of camber that can be dialed in with these plates. The car is not a daily driver, so I'm not concerned about tire wear.

Another thing to look into when purchasing tires is sidewall or section width. This will vary between brands when comparing the same tire size. I found that Michelin's run a bit wider than some other brands. Visit Tire Rack's website, all this information and more is available there.

The section width for the 275-35-19 Michelin Pilot 4S is 10.9", basically 11". The tread width is 9.8" and as mentioned above, the fit is pretty tight with the dropped springs.

I would agree with a prior forum response that this wheel is probably a bit too narrow for that tire. I'm not sure if The Tire Rack sells the Nitto brand, but if you can find the section width and tread width and match them to a similar product on The Tire Racks site, they provide wheel width range recommendations for certain tread/section width tires.

The 285/30R20 will fit on the 9" wide wheel. The popular set up set up that I'm seeing is the 20X10 with a +30.

285 may spoon on, but I'd question how well that bead will hold up in hard cornering on such a narrow rim. 255 or at most 265 in /35 should be your choice. And pick better tires. Those Nitto aren't cheap enough to justify putting garbage on.

Did you say Nitto g2? I suggest doing a search on here and taking a look at what people have to say about those tires.

Will it give the ride a mushy feel?. funny yall commented . I get my tires from yall!
The 285 is a pretty wide tire for the 9" wheel. It works but the tire will have tendency to wear irregularly and possibly lead to handling issues.
