Wierd bump under Drivers mats

I just swapped out All-Season OEM mats, and I noticed on the driver side, there is a rectangle bump underneath the carpet just in front of the seat, like some sort of box or part is under there. Can anyone confirm this so I know its not just me and some sort of defect. The mats seem to fit but come up a little bit on the right bottom side due to this bump.

Are you talking about the mount to hold the mat in place? That is exactly where it is located.

Its just right of the middle mount.
