They are the stock tire for a 2015 BMW i5. I ordered mine on ebay but any tire vendor can get them. They are unique in that they are for a 19x5 inch rim.

Hmm so let's recap what it takes to widen a set of stock wheels

Waste a whole set of stock wheels as donors ($800)

Money spent on actual widening ($1000)

Spacers ($200)

Grand total spent = $2000, not to mention the 7lbs of rotating mass you've added to each corner, which if you do any sort of performance driving other than putting around town is a noticeable difference.

Or you could've bought a set of high quality forged wheels for $1500, then sold your stock wheels for $500 and only be $1000 out of pocket while at the same time having stronger and MUCH lighter wheels.

I'll take stronger and significantly lighter wheels and $1000 in my pocket any day. But hey, props for being "different".

Great info. I have a set of OEwheel PP Style wheels on my car and they make them in an 18" version. I'm currently running 19x8.5 in the front with 19x10 in the rear. I am buying a set of 18x10s for the rear so I can run a set of Mickey Thompson ET Street R P305/45R18 (29X12.50R18) for the track but still give the stock PP wheel appearance. I was going to purchase a set of the 18x9 for the front and narrow them and run the M&H 185/50R18 Front Radial tires. The Bridgestone's look to be about 1/2 the cost of the M&H and the price between the 18" and 19" OE wheels is $5. However, running 19s on the front and 18s on the rear may give it a lopsided look. But if I get the 19s I could run them with my street tires which would be more of the time than what I would see at the track.

Or you could get a set of OEwheels in 19x8.5 front and 19x10 rear for $452 and spend $250 per front wheel for narrowing. Then you would only be in to them for $952 and you could sell your factory wheels for $500 as you stated for a grand total of $452.

Regardless of what anyone does its up to the individual on what they want to do and looks good to them. I did this years ago to my 2013 Mach 1 because I wanted the stock look with bigs and littles.

I don't have a great pic right now but I had the rears widened to 11" for $250 each back in April. Worked out great. I think the process added something like 2 or 3 pounds per wheel. Yes they are heavier than aftermarket ones to start off (obviously forged ones are not in the same league), but they are tough, and the welds are stronger than the base materials they join. I believe the greater increase in weight came from going to the 305/35 Nitto NT05 (love them). I didn't need the spacers, but I went with the 1" bolt on ones from AM for something like $90 anyway cuz I liked the look. To balance it out, appearance-wise, I bought some billet aluminum 10mm spacers off eBay for around $45 and installed longer wheel studs on the front (outlined in another post). Nailed it. I've put at least 4k miles on the whole set up including 7 passes at the strip, driving between Detroit and Knoxville, and having the fronts and rears off multiple times for other mods

Sounds like we basically have the same setup.

Glad yours are working out!
