So just messing around with ideas and wanted to gauge peoples opinion....

What would you think of a wide body kit that included 1-1.5 inch wider fenders ( full fender, no extensions) and bumper extensions to match. So no awful bolt on fender flairs or exposed bolts on the bumper extensions. The idea is to look as seamless as possible and conform to 15-17 front end (could also be applied to 18-19s)? It is certainly GT500 inspired but I do not want it to be a replica.

Rough sketches below....

Honestly, I'd probably be down for a flared version if it was cheap, can't see full fenders being cheap. If Cervini's stalker kit is anything to go by, something like this would probably be in the ballpark of $2-2.5k.

777 Performance is working on a GT500 style bumper (no flares/fenders needed) for the 15-17 cars already though.

My problem with replica 500 bumpers is that it will not look right unless the fenders are also wider... The whole reason why the 500 looks so aggressive is because of the wider front clip.

Cervini is not a benchmark here ($700 for a damn bumper extension.... I can buy a full bumper for that)

I am thinking around $500 for the fenders (based off of Ikon/Anderson Composites fiberglass) with a full kit in the range of $1-1.5k.

You might know some other options as well, but from a friend that was interested in doing his own widebody kit, production mold costs started at $10k (some company in CA I want to say) so you would want to guarantee you can at least cover that.

For the parts for the full kit, would it include a new splitter too? I know you kinda tapered it down on your sketch but not sure how that would look in reality.

Yea that is the unfortunate thing... I really do not have a means of manufacturing the kit beyond a prototype. I guess my hope is that I can get the idea out there and have a larger company produce the design.

In terms of the splitter, the current idea is to make it compatible with stock splitters. As you said though, in 3D it might not work. That would be something that would be evaluated during the design process. Also considering just making a full bumper for a more seamless install. Cost would be a factor there.

As a reference, here is 777Performance's front bumper. Looks good but doesn't capture as much if the aggressive stance as I would like.

Do you have a link to the bumper? I went to their web but I've found only a different bumper...thank you!

EDIT: found it.

Don't get me wrong, it looks good IMO but it doesn't capture as much of the wide body look of the 500 as I would like. That being said, it might be the closest possible.

Darn that looks silly with the hood scoop and rear fender flares.
Don't really care for the quarter panel scoops but I think that hood actually goes quite nicely with the bumper.

That's just the car that they used to start their renders. Front bumper is all photoshop, rest is an actual car.

I agree on that premise for sure. I like people who paint the middle portion of their front bumpers. At for first it looks great then I realize the car looks like an EVO or some Japanese really car. This bumper gives me the look I like with the aggressive recessed front black portion.
