Why won't COTUS work for me?

I have tried using my order number,dealer number and last name with no luck. I have a vin now and have tried using that and is says the same thing. "A matching vehicle could not be determined. Please contact your dealer to get status updated about your order."

COTUS is still in a pilot phase and has not been rolled out for all regions or vehicle nameplates. What you find on the site may not be the most up-to-date information. There’s no telling when or if they’ll show up at this time.

Same here. Got my VIN Today but no details in COTUS. IS it safe to assume the car should arrive within 3 weeks of having a VIN assigned?

I don't think so manbear. It all depends on scheduling and the what if's such as delays in schedules, strikes, missing parts, back ordered items etc. I have a vin but my build week is oct 19th. I was told it takes about 8 business days for build and about 8 business days for delivery....however they batch delivery and that could delay further.

My car was built on the 9/1 with an EDD of 9/29, which I got from Deysha when my dealership said it looks like the end of the month. Now my dealership won't tell me anything more than "now it's looking like October for delivery". Eight days for delivery would be amazing.

Welcome to the forum! I am Deysha with Ford Service, and I'll be happy to check on your order as long as it's still in the US. Please, PM me with your VIN so I can check on it for you.

Also, COTUS is a tracking site that is still in a pilot phase and has not been rolled out for all regions or vehicle nameplates. What you find on the site may not be the most up-to-date information. The site also does not work on overseas orders.

I would also like to know what's going on with my car. Ordered 10/21/15 and was told would be delivered in time for Christmas. Got a VIN# almost 4 weeks ago and called for an update since I can not see it on Cotus. I called the dealership and they said Dec.27th then a week later said it disappeared. Called Ford and was told there is not ETA listed at all! So how can there be nothing?

COTUS doesn't do anything for 2016s.

Any info you try to get online through a Ford site is like performing a pig's eye exam by shoving your fist up its butt.

More specifically, if you were to strip down, bend over, contemplate your pristine hardwood floors, then magically flip yourself to gaze up at your own asshole, you would learn more about your car than anything provided by Ford.

Having said that ... and after a 6 month wait ... I've finally received my car. And it is FUCKING AWESOME.

So, Ford the car maker, frickin' great! Ford the communicator, not so much...
