Why the Ingot silver so under estimated?

Here's an interesting take and, if Ford could, I'd love to see a very (and I mean VERY) slightly darker silver.

This image of Ingot was slightly manipulated.......and I love the result!

Under this lighting of the F-35, that manipulated image looks similar. The F-35 looks a bit more grey but lighten it up and it would make an awesome silver. I would looove to see this color for the S550.

Pretty cool, but I have to say I'm seeing a little purple. Meh...

Obviously not everyone's taste, but what I would personally love to see is an ingot silver GT premium with magnetic metallic LeMans stripes over the top and magnetic metallic side stripes - with the 50th Anniversary LE rims. I think that would look understated, but wicked cool.

I've mentioned this prior - silver is extremely popular here in Seattle/NW. Silver, different shades of gray, white and black. I dont think Ingot will not suffer from a lack of love here. So many folks, from the dealer to my friends were trying to convince me to go for magnetic, guard or silver (it was weird).

That said, personally, I would never buy a sports car in silver. No fun and however good looking it maybe- they blend in. It's TY for me with CO and RR and distant second and thirds. TY is triple coated, bright and seems really nice in the photos - it also has lovely contrast with the black wheels (just like silver). Based on Fords history I suspect TY will also not be offered for very long - OTOH IS should last the whole run of the S550.

That said, get what you like!

Silver only looks good with a lot of contrasting pieces to me. For example, black wheels, stripes, black accents. Other than that, I tend to gloss over them in traffic like I do with the Toyotas and most of the Lexuses.

If you're buying a Mustang to be 'stealthy', you're buying the wrong car. You'll just fail at blending and look even worse.

Saw the triple yellow in person today. Great and possibly the best colour for the black wheels.

I don't even know what the point of your post it.

You WILL be less noticeable unless you're flooring it from stoplight to stoplight and doing burnouts at the drop of a hat. Of course I wouldn't expect an eclipse owner to know about that..

I plan on doing more spirited driving with this car because it will be built for it, more so than my V6. If it isn't bright red or yellow and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb then I see that as an advantage.

You can have a fast, nice car that isn't flashy, which seems to be why you're interested in one. I don't need to stand out to be happy with my car. Maybe youre buying the wrong car..

I was mostly kidding. Sorry I hurt your feelings. Way to take a dig at me for driving something other than a Mustang on a Mustang forum. :brokenheart:

Wow so you came back with a personal insult because someone pointed out the obvious? No matter the color the mustang will still stick out bud. Also you have no grounds at dissing a mitsu owner when you drive the equivalent of a rental car. V6 Mustang....
