I agree ignot is the color that best shows the style of the s550, curves, lines, cuts etc. I wonder if it will show that much better in person though. Either way for me I just dont want 'another' silver car that 'gets lost' in the sea of silver, but it sure looks great in its own.

well
i would say, wait until the cars hit the Showrooms and you can see them in Person
i agree that there are Folks out there who feel they have to make a Statement by driving a car in a bright Color
but believe me, all those who do not have the Need to make such Statements will find silver very rewarding
brings out what the designer had in mind when the sculptured the car
adds a touch of class and in Combo with the right interior and the right wheels a silver s550 will be a Show of its own and a document of very good taste

Considered silver and jut wanted a car that wasn't the same color as 99.99999% of cars out there. Went with guard first then changed to magnetic because I've never wanted a green car. The first images of guard looked intriguing but as more and more pics surfaced it turned out to be well, green

I have not ordered, but my preference has gone back and forth whether I want it to be noticed based on color, even though it may not be my favorite color. I like silver because I think it looks great and the car will be noticed anyways solely because of lines and SOUND

I don't know if I believe silver is the best color for this model year. If you look at the car directly and are conscious of it being a Mustang I agree silver shows the lines very well. However, in a pack of cars where many are white or silver, most won't even glance at it let alone recognize it as a Mustang.

Around here (AZ) the majority of vehicles are either white or silver. You really don't notice the differences between a Mazda 6, Camry, Altima, Fusion, or other similar recently designed coupe. The heat haze off the road tends to hide them as well.

The reds, blues, and other bright colors stand out around here since they don't blend into the background and are rare compared to the norm. I can't recall seeing many white or silver Mustangs or Camaros around here but I know they exist. Gotta Have It Green and Grabber Blue from the previous model are very popular in these parts.

But when has standing out in a crowd of cars defined how good a color is? If a person that knows cars sees a silver Maserati or white camaro, challenger or mustang, they will recognize the car and appreciate it. That's kinda like saying that red camry is really cool because it sticks out because it's color.

No, I am saying they will see it because of its color. The white or silver might as well be invisible in a pack of cars.

In some pictures ingot has a slight matte look and it looks amazing. In other pics, especially up close, it looks like just glossy plastic, and then it doesn't look good

Silver is going to be easier to sell than most other colors. Not that anyone on here will ever sell their 2015...

From my perspective, I like subtle. I don't like standing out in a crowd for the sake of standing out. I guess my personality is to have an imbalance of go over show.

I have never thought silver looked good on anything outside of a Mercedes Benz. I've seen a few classic Mustangs where it works, I guess. But it has a very "base model" look on modern Mustangs.

I like subtle as well, I mean it's a Mustang, it sells itself. I'm an introvert, so I can't handle colors like GHIG or CO. But I also don't like plain (Windveil Blue for example), so I like a happy medium.

I'll drive mine until I can no longer fix it, but many will trade for the next model year or the one after that. Look at some of the signatures just on this forum alone.

I have a neighbor that leases a new Mustang every model year. He always has two on lease and is limited to the V6 since he can't find a lease on the GT. He keeps each car for two years. Haven't asked him yet if his 2015 will be a V6 or an EB but he may not have a choice.

Here in the SW desert, silver and white can actually be a safety hazard. We have many two lane, mostly straight rural roads where passing is frequent. On a hot 100-110 degree sunny day with the heat haze coming off the road surface it is hard to see a silver car coming at you - it blends into the road. Many silver car owners here keep their headlights on constantly just for that reason.

Of course we have the same issue with the pickup owners driving black trucks who refuse to turn their lights on during the day/night transition period.

That's me. I do 70k miles a year. For what my company pays me in mileage, it more than makes my payment, even on a short note. So I just look at it as them paying for my car and I trade every spring. One reason I am disappointed about the order scheduling is because I should have been out of my current vehicle MONTHS ago! I was waiting on HP numbers to order, now my dealer says if I order now the car may not be here till December. So I am not ordering, I need something sooner than that. I am going to wait until they start hitting the lots and buy the closest thing to what I want. I am not picky. Any color except black or DIB, any interior except black and has to be a GT premium. I will just swap it on the exact one I want next year.

My 2011 was silver and I loved it, but the 2015 looks so good in race red.
