Looking at the sizing available:

Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R
UTQG: 200 A A
Front - 275/35R19 - $328
Rear - 285/35R19 - $334
Total: $1324

Michelin Pilot Super Sport
UTQG: 300 AA A
Front - 275/35R19 - $324
Rear - 285/35R19 - $363
Total: $1374

Hankook Ventus R-S3 V2
UTQG: 200 A A
Front & Rear - 275/35R19 - $305
Total: $1220

Sumitomo HTR Z III
UTQG: 300 AA A
Front - 275/35R19 - $211
Rear - 285/35R19 - $224
Total: $870

So not a huge price difference on the first three, but considering how much cheaper the HTR Z IIIs are, and as a decent performance, they're going to be hard to pass up. Will have my eye on the RE-71R if the budget allows though, and just deal with the lower mileage life and cost higher cost.
Also look at Nitto 555s or Invo, and Mickey Thompson Street Comps. They're in the 1,000 range for a set.

I've seen those more around the drag strip, then around a place with corners. Good experience with any one of those specifically?

This car needs 10" front and 11" rear...I don't understand why manufactures don't do this. You always seem to have to go custom with the S550 ala. Forgestar or HRE.

I don't understand the reasoning behind a 8.5" front wheel on a 3700lb car with a bias toward the front. Thats makes about as much sense as tits on a bull.

It's a mass market car, they have to meet fuel economy, noise, cost and all sorts of other corporate and gov requirements....plus, you can personalize to your flavor!

I dont race or track but my 555s are fine. I don't notice anything bad with them. I hear the Street Comps and comparable to the 555s.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the Sumitomo for daily driving though. The only reason I went with 555s was with the wheels I got CJ Pony Parts had the 275s sqaure for 20s for $925 before their forum discount of 8%. $850 or so was too hard to pass up for a full set of Nittos.

If you're running the PP wheels 9 front 9.5 rear CJs has a 555 set 255s front and 275 back for $758.99 and then 8% off that; so $699. They have Invos in that same size staggered for $904.99 plus 8% off forum discount; so $832.60. That's the only brand they have full sets for.

The Mickeys American Muscle has 255 fronts are $240 each and the rear 278s are $255 each. $990 and I think they give 5 or 6% off so around $940-950.

Tirerack has all of the other big names- Continental, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Hankook, Michelin etc.

As long as they provide enough room for 10" and preferably an inch more, I really don't care that the OE fitment is whatever tire size on 8.5" wide wheels. Once the wide wheels and tires go on, the OE wheels are going to be dedicated to winter duty, where narrower is better anyway.

8.5" is probably wide enough for the first-time V8/RWD buyer and those who have never driven hard enough to appreciate the potential of another couple of inches and who probably never will. Time was when 8.5" was an unusually wide wheel even from the aftermarket.

Would a 20x10 +30 or +40 square fit? I don't want to lose the center caps.

I would probably do 275 or 285 all around
20x10 Et 40 can work, but based on the wheel design and the x factor of the wheel you may or may not allow the center cap to sit flush.

yes

but keep in mind depends on wheel design.

?? just hammer the dust cover in lol
well yes and no lol, certain wheels work without doing anything due to the x factor and concave design of the wheel ( drop center etc) certain wheels no go gatta use some elbow grease.
