Heavier certainlyConvertibles are:
More heavy
More dangerous
Slower
Less rigid
More expensive
More subject to NVH
Less reliable
Easier to break into
Never understood the appeal, literally paying more for a worse car.
Noise. Vibration. Harshness.I have no idea what NVH is
Funny thing is this 'girly' mustang gets more girls than the everyday cooking cutting coupeyou can tease me about me having a girl's car of a Mustang convertible, but chances are with my GTPP, i might be whooping your ass at the stoplight. or just stalling my manual, lol..
Same here, I just don't drop the top in cold weather if anything and my Conti's are solid in bad weatherSee i think the "convertibles are no good in the cold" is a damn lie.
mine have been year-round DDs and there is no issue with driving one when it's only 10 degrees outside.

More dangerous Unless you flip it, it's not more dangerous
Slower Not much, plus mods
Less rigid As Windevil said, unless you're tracking, doesn't mean much
More expensive Damn straight
More subject to NVH Oh well, price ya pay
Less reliable Other than the mechanics in the top possibly failing, it's about the same as a coupe
Easier to break into True, but you can still get your windows smashed in
Never understood the appeal, literally paying more for a worse car. Subjective, one could argue a base model vs premium is worse or that V6's are unnecessary when compared to EB's and GT's.
I got mine cause I love the open top and wind in my face and it's pretty planted at high speed's topless (I've confirmed it while cruisin' in Mettyco), though on those nice days, nothing beats a convertible.
If I wanted a racecar, I'd get a coupe. This being my DD, I wanted exactly what I wanted
Everybody wants to be right on forums, why can't people like the coupe and the vert?Noise. Vibration. Harshness.
So why don't you tell us how you really feel about convertibles. Worse, NO. Different, YES :headbonk:Convertibles are:

Amen!So why don't you tell us how you really feel about convertibles. Worse, NO. Different, YES :headbonk:
More heavy. True, but I bought my vert for the open road feeling and a weekend cruiser
More dangerous. Only if you drive like a maniac
Slower. How fast does a person really need to go. Who is really being more dangerous?
Less rigid. Mine feels fine. Haven't felt it less rigid YET. Maybe the way I drive??
More expensive. Yes of course, for obvious reasons. But a V6 vert is cheaper than a GT PP Premium coupe. So its all relative
More subject to NVH. Haven't felt any of that yet
Less reliable. I don't understand this one. Clarity please
Easier to break into. Soft top...Yes. Bu if someone really wants to get in, it isn't really going to matter
We all buy our cars for our own reasons. I love my convertible. I hope you are enjoying your coupe....
I have not seen many convertibles with stripes and I have always loved the white with blue stripes look ever since I got to ride in one in the late 60's as a little kid - where my love of mustangs started (also got a ride in a 911 from the same guy which explains my other 4 wheeled love affair). From your avatar your ride looks stunning. Have you posted other pictures I could find and/ or could you post a few? Thanks.Amen!
