My guess is that he is waiting to see data.

Probably everyone agrees that you can't argue more horsepower from a car :).
Their is data out everyone just refuses to believe it because its not the exhaust their looking at.Im not even looking at magnaflow actually im going with sw, but magnaflow has a very solid rep.Plus think on this for a minute, all kind of ford reps looking at this site, ford knew magnaflow was posting them dyno,s, now think real hard about that.SVTP new about the dyno, did they call bs.Plentty of data out there.

I'm looking for pics of some stock mufflers from these cars that have been cut open. Anyone have any?

i wouldn't buy an exhaust without knowing what the dyno results beforehand. i'm not talking about just a graph, i want to see a car strapped down and hear it and see what gains are made. any power concerned smart consumer would want to see the same.

Between 0-20hp; the real answer is who cares. Anything that is not stock will be less restrictive. Anything removing the cats will be even less restrictive.

Most are buying exhausts for purely the sound not the tiny HP gain the simple piping makes. Exhaust makes the system less restrictive for other performance parts to work and isn't it self a HP gainer. There are many many other better value parts to replace to get HP gains before arguing over the few HP difference in exhaust systems.

catless headers should net between 25 on the low side, 40 on the high side.

Good question. Some basic but valuable information would be helpful.

-hp & tq, highest curve gains and peak gains and/or dyno chart. Most applications should be measured on bone stock car. Specialty applications should be done with appropriate equipment (like a popular standard supercharger kit) but all additional equipment should be noted on test data.

-volume, tested using SAE J1169 standard. If below 95dB, a document certifying the system meets 95dB noise limits. If above 95dB, no worries, some people want it that way.

-weight, weight of stock system & aftermarket system.
