Hey guys, I’m in the process of selling my C7Z, and looking to get into a 18+ S550. I want to set it up for 1/4 and 1/2 mile stuff. In the Corvette world, 15’s are what all the fast guys are running, but over here it seems like all the fast guys are running 17’s. I’m wondering why. I see some of these cars running low 8’s cutting 1.1 and 1.2 60 ft. times on a 17. Obviously those are great 60 ft. times, but wouldn’t a 15 be even better? Doesn’t more sidewall = more traction? I realize you need drag brakes in the rear, and you lose the parking brake...but that’s not really a big deal for the A10 cars anyway and the brakes are cheap. Thanks in advance!
