Trying to wrap up all of my questions before I pull the trigger on a base Whipple with flight control before I pull the trigger.

1) Does anyone experience anything but perfect drive-ability? Meaning never has there been a "wow what was that", "I hope it doesn't do that again or I'll have to look into it" or "it didn't do that before" (other than the power of course).

2) Have you ever put the flight control all the way down and how was that?

3) Any problems at all to speak of with the Whipple or tune? Did you have to have things sorted out by Whipple at all or was it perfection from the get go?

4) Did you do the oil pump gears and does Whipple recommend them?

My application: 2015 GT Premium Auto, No track time planned just some spirited driving occasionally. Going with what I believe is the best, most OEM style system. It has more HP than I want but looking for an absolute no issues install and ownership experience. Hoping Whipple can provide that. Let me know and thanks.

whipple cal has not had any issues with auto cars with drivability or anything. The only cars that have experienced a hesitation issue are a select phew 6speed. The vast majority of 6speeds and all auto's drive perfect

only a hand full of of 6speeds have a hesitation issue and Whipple is currently working on a calibration fix for them

no I didn't change the OPG or timing gear and Whipple doesn't require it or say it's a necessity. I did change the damper to the MMR race damper

You will have no issue with just installing the Whipple kit alone, and will experience I'm sure perfect drivability and the awesome power of the twin screw.

Mine drives better than stock. Only issue I had turned out not to be an issue. After I did the Stage II upgrade with the 3.625 pulley and Flight Control if I got on it hard from a stop it did not feel right and I would even smell brake pads. Turned out you need to turn off the "Advance Trac". After doing this it drives amazing. NO regrets this Whipple cal in the auto is spot on.

So with the brake smell; you were spinning and car was controlling it? Turn off traction and tire spin = no smell?

Also, thank you both for replying. Can you set the rev limiter on the flight control?

Thanks,

Yes with Traction control off car was still trying to control power / torque by applying brakes at this new power range. Now turning off the Advance Trac and its all yours so hang on it gets fun.

With the flight control you have two rpm settings. Normal and max. It will come defaulted to normal and I think its about 300 rpm difference. Maybe 7500 -7800 or 7200-7500 the auto may be 7200-7500.

You will love the Whipple and flight control in the auto.

I had the belt squeak for a while. (came and went) Other than that, it drives like a factory built car. (a very fast factory built car)

I don't have flight control.

So you have to turn of Advancedtrac for it to run correctly? I'm sure I'm not understanding that correctly. Someone school me.

Yes you can leave the nannies on, however my concern especially with stock clutch is traction control uses the brake to stop wheels spin putting more pressure on the clutch.

Ah. I think that's the part that I missed. Consider me educated :)
