I installed one on my buddies 13 auto 5.0. Vmp did the tuning. It's absolutely incredible. That, good tune, 9# pully, removed resonators and it went 10.67 on drag radials.

Shifts like a Cadillac driving around normal and snaps your neck at wot.

A good tuner can really get those autos right.

Justin Starkey of VMP is brilliant with auto trans tuning.

OP for the '15 I'd wait a while for the tuners to unlock the Ford PCM and get access to all the parameters before installing a blower.

He is.

I'm hoping that he can sell me only the needed parts to put my TVS off my 2011 manual on the 15 LE auto.

I'm betting he can, but will likely be at the mercy of SCT/Diablo to unlock the PCM. I'd say let him tune the car first without the blower just to see how much he can access. He will probably enjoy the paddle shift part.

I'm gonna put 5-7k miles on it before I touch it to make sure nothing wrong. And see if any big problems showing up.

Not a bad idea though. May just tune it. The blower is fun but truly useless on the street most of the time.

Luckily VMP is only a 2 hour drive so if I need to do anything I'll go see them in person.

Any Mustang with a blower is fun. Let other people or the shops be the test pilots for you. In 6 months after production they will have it all the quirks fixed. I wonder which shop will go for 10s, 9s, 8s first?

Btw, justin wrote the auto tune for the roush kit. He works closely with them who works closely with ford (roush supplies all the parts for the whipple frpp kit). So, following that logic, he should have some of the first ability to tweak it.

I originally wanted an automatic. I get the whole hook up thing, nothing like a manual, auto's are for faux gear heads and all that. It's just the idea of having to clutch all the time that turned me off.

Not that I'm not capable, I just want to punch it and go like hell. Besides all that, I just don't think most regular guy's can out shift and automatic. Combine that with paddle shifters and I'd be a happy camper.

So I resigned myself to getting the manual because FORD (No matter if I pay for it) just won't let me order one with the performance pack. I want the PP for a few reasons, especially because I think the cost is extremely worth it for all that you get.

With all that being said, An automatic with a S/C would be incredible.

However...If you go to ford Racing direct, the S/C's offered for 2011-2013 are for manual or auto, I believe (correct me if wrong) are detuned, lower HP like the Roush versions. The 2011-2014, 7 & 9 pound boost S/C's with 525 & 624 HP respectively are for manual's only.

My guess is and it's only a guess is that when Whipple says they have a new 700 HP S/C just for the 2015 Mustang Coyote...it's not going to be available for auto's.

Check it out yourself!
