I am looking at ordering a Whipple Stage 2 kit and was wondering if anyone had issues with fueling due to the kit no coming with a Boost-A-Pump. Has anyone seen fueling issues with this kit without a Boost-A-Pump with the Whipple calibration. After ordering I plan on grabbing a fuel system shortly after but was wondering if the kit would be dangerous to run without a BAP meanwhile. Thanks in advance.

Been running the shit out of mine with no issues. It runs strong, AFR is always spot on.

Ignore this, I found an old post.

According to Whipple. the duty cycle for 72lb injectors below.

72lb is 95% with 3.25", 40deg ambient, stock motor, no BAP, 11.8:1 AF.

Over 700 RWHP with the 72's and no BAP here on the Stage 2.

The stock system can handle around 650-700 no problem without a BAP. We used the JMS BAP and were pushing 850+rwhp on the stock pumps and could have pushed more!

Not sure 11.8:1 is lean.... Remember cat temp and piston protection are all on so there is a target and everything adjust from there. We've tested with our system proper air fuel vs timing vs detonation and we found 11.8:1 was the best all around in our application.

I know quite a few guys without a BAP and everything is perfect. The tune with the 72# squirters is a bloody masterpiece. I just can't stress enough how happy I am with Whipple's kit and tune, I will never get a custom tune again. Times have changed and as far as I'm concerned this tune is second to none for all it does, all it offers and how it performs.

in all honesty, if you want, you can add the bap, if you want the extra safety margin, it will not effect the tune in any way.

let me know if we can help at all

The Whipple tune definitely is a nice one. I think PD blowers like.less fuel because my cobra saw 11.8-12.1 AFR which is dangerous for my Turbo/Centri car. That's .84ish lambda which makes my butt pucker lol
