Today I filled the intercooler system and tried to burp it to get the trapped air out. The system takes 2 gallons total and I was only able to get 1.5 gal in even with blowing in the tank and releasing some trapped air. I talked with Whipple and they said the best method is to pump coolant in so no trapped get in like when you poor it in. The other method they said was to fill then burp it by blowing air into the tank to push trapped air out, then start the vehicle and run the system and eventually it will work out with refills.

What I did today was and glad I did was wired the pump direct to the battery. I unplugged the pigtail at the pump and then ran leads to the battery. First thing I noticed was the pump when powered takes about 5 seconds to come. I ran the pump for about 30 seconds all kind off gurgling took place, then turned it off and refilled. I did this about 7 times running the pump longer each time then topping off. In the end the pump ran smooth with nor more gurglin sounds p, so I know all the trapped air was out. Maybe none of this needed to be done I don't know, I'm sure others just filled and went on there way and topped off later. I was a little paranoid when reading the instruction about how and air pocket could potentially keep the pump from circulating water and I didn't want this to happen. Hope this may help someone I their future instal.
I kept a gallon in my trunk for the first 1000 miles. After a drive it would be down an oz or two. So I kept having to add like a shots worth in. Now it's been good for weeks

Can you fill up without removing the bumper? Can't really see a fill point

You don't need to remove the fascia.

First you fill what you can in the system without turning anything on. This will fill the reservoir but not the IC or LTR. You then start the engine, as the coolant needs to be topped off once the thermostat opens anyways. When the pump turns on, you fill to the top again and then install the cap. Turn key off and then start engine again and top off again. If you let it run for 3-5 minutes you can keep adding.

Then you just check it again after you've done your initial test drive and top off.

You can do the same by hot wiring the pump but the engine has to run anyways so it doesn't matter, your not going to hurt it at idle.

*edit: Also you can remove the filler neck and hold it up another 4-6 inches and that will also fill faster as its the highest point of the system.

Yeah it all worked out once I got the pump working wired direct. I cycled the pump many times and kept refilling until it ran smooth and no longer needed refilling. As far as motor running I'm still waiting on my calibration from Whipple.

Ah ok. Did you send your pcm in or get the flare?

I first baught the mail in PCM tune with the kit, but changed my mind after seeing the flight controls and guardian features so I upgraded. Since I never send in my PCM I was able to pay the additional $200 for the flare tool upgrade. It ended taking longer this way becuase I had to wait to get the flare tool, and instal the flare program and USB canelope drivers then connect to the OBD port turn on to get the serial number issued when you connect. With this serial number they can issue the calibration. I mailed the serial number to Whipple tech that day last Thursday I thought I would get the cal back the same day, but was told they have to send away for the calibration to be built which takes 2 days. I should see the cal Monday.

Ah ok. I guess that explains some of the lead time in getting the kit after ordering

This has nothing to do with the lead time on getting the kit. Getting the flare tool or sending your PCM in is a separate time line.
