Got the supercharger intstalled over the weekend

I have to say that overall I am very satisfied with the quality and ease of installation with the kit. There are a couple small spots that could be updated in the directions but nothing that really turned into a head scratcher. If anyone really wants to know I’ll be happy to detail then but again no biggie.

My only real question is…..does anyone know why Whipple just doesn’t include new heater hoses rather than go through that process of cutting and modifying them? I can’t imagine it costing much more at all if anything. Again the finish product looks good and I am sure will never have an issue. My question is more for curiosity because it doesn’t seem financially motivated.

I'm about 90% done with my whipple install and I didn't even think of that till you mentioned it. And now I'm curious as well.

Yeah it almost seems like it might have cheaper to include new hoses, right?

How did you install go?

For sure, especially since it came with new sleeving/heat shrink/etc...

It went pretty well I would say. Like you mentioned there were a few things that could have been elaborated on in the instructions and I did notice sometimes the instructions versus the labeled bags didn't always have the same verbiage/terms.

Not to mention they look ugly when finished and the drivers side really doesn't fit nice with the evap solenoid bracket. Nice kit and just like every other one available they all have something that you would like to redesign

I think it depends on the installer. If he takes his time and plans things out, they can be hidden nicely :frusty:

Nah they look like shit no matter what and their fuel rails leave much to desire.

I actually like the fuel rails, visually at least. I spent some time routing my hoses but a nice molded hose would have looked a lot better.

Whats wrong with the fuel rails? The heater hose thing I kind of agree with, but the rails I thought were real nice?

They are fine if you are using their set up. They aren't visually unappealing. Problem with them are when you try to run -8an feeds from the rear, the passenger side requires an extension.

The heater hoses only worry me because they are pretty easy to kink. A better approach would have been to use the method that Ford used and have longer extensions that keep flexible hose out from underneath the snout of the blower.
My biggest complaint is the airbox they include is complete garbage. Put it next to a GT350 airbox... The new HE reservoir isn't as nice as the older aluminum one, but it is a little bigger.

I also just finished my install on the Whipple Supercharger Stage 2 Kit and the instructions could use some help from IKEA.LOL
I also made a Relay and Fuse Bracket that turned out great and only cost a few dollars and some time.
My wife is working on my install of the Whipple Flare Flash Tool for me after work because I am computer stupid.
I just received my Voucher Number from Whipple and wish me luck.

Do you have the open air box?
