Whipple Heat Exchanger vs VMP Triple Pass HE

Which one is better/bigger? Pros/Cons? I've got my Stage 2 Whipple kit and everything seems flawless. Just wanting to get everyone's take on them or ways to upgrade the heat exchangers from the kit. I'm coming from 9 years of air-to-air intercoolers on my SRT-4. My GT is the first V8 and positive displacement s/c I've owned. Liquid cooled forced induction is new to me lol.

To my knowledge Whipple did a test on all heat exchangers including the Triple pass and Whipples worked the best .. Maybe Dustin will chime in.

Yes, the single or dual pass is the best for our applications. Triple pass has massive restriction. While it cools the water more due to increased time in the LTR, the water through the charge temp cooler is slowed down drastically, especially if using the Bosch water pump, resulting in hotter IAT2's. It's not a huge difference, but it is certainly a difference.

Size wise, ours has more surface area as it's a little taller, again, small difference.

There would be no reason to change.

Excellent to hear. These superchargers are a bit of a learning curve for me coming from the turbo 4-cylinder world. I'm more than satisfied with my Stage 2 kit! Hands down my best investment so far!
