Do the fans not come on in colder temps? It's 12 degrees out, noticed they aren't on at idle and my fuse is good. Currently on the newest Whipple cal.

Figured that was the case. This is my first supercharger setup so I just wanted to be sure.

I fired up my 2016 last night in a 30 degree garage and they came on right away. When I spoke with Whipple about some wiring concerns I though they said they just came on all the time. He mentioned about looking at ways to better control them but decided to leave them on all the time.

But I do agree that 12 degrees is too cold. LOL It was -4 when I came to work this am in WI. BRRRRR

I thought they were on at all times while the car is running. I believe the relay is hooked to the stock IMRC which sends signal to the relay to power the fans anytime the rpms are above like 300 rpm.

Yup they are on full time when the engine is on like 200-300 rpm and they should be one. Check your wiring and maybe the relay.

I wish I added a switch for my fans, not too late of course but
fans full time cant really be needed in winter temps ,no ?

Honestly it still will help reduce the intake charge temps. In normal cruising though the fans are not necessary.

Very easy to add a switch.

The big challenge is where to discreetly add a switch though. For me at least it has to look factory and/or be concealed. I will need to add a switch to mine by spring though.

As an option to a switch you could hook up a thermostatic control like they use for a cooling fan and just trigger your ground or power side of the relay, that way there would be no need for a switch inside the car. Fan's would turn on and off at a set temp point.

If you want to add a switch, just pull the pass wheel liner off and you will see the harness going into a large rubber grommet. On the large rubber grommet there is a nipple that stick out and that can be cut or slit into, and from there just fish the wire in with a hanger and it comes out just under the glove box at pass foot well. I ran That wire in a loop with a switch in the middle to the power on side of the relay to the fans.

The imrc wiring itself and just the relay provided in the kit?

Resolved it. The relay was toast. Put in a new one with a coating of dielectric grease and they came back on.
