I currently have 20” wheels with 305/35/20 firehawk Indy 500’s which are doing pretty well with roughly 700hp. I want to get a little lighter “drag” setup with a stickier tire for weekend fun. I may go to the drag strip at some point, but mostly looking for the best street tire for 17x10 vms wheels to run on the highway for 40-60 rolls.

305/45/17 MT ET street SS
305/45/17 Nitto NT555R2
315/35/17 Toyo R888R

I have the Nitto now and they have done pretty good. I have a set of the MT’s waiting to go on because I wanted a stickier tire hopefully they are as good as people have said!

I am suprised you are hooking with your indy 500s. I have a stock 2021 GT A10. And 2nd gear from 40 roll will light my indy 500s on fire and make me fish tail, I am now looking at The Nitto NT555RII.
I do admit that I completely smash the gas from 2nd gear and it's too much for the tires I guess.

I normally do a 60 roll in 4th gear and they hook well. Anything under that and I have to roll into it, hence why I’m looking for a stickier setup.

Toyo's work well on an AWD setup, but they are mostly a road race/auto-X tire.

Nitto 555 g2 305 hooks great, the 285 is actually cheaper than the firehawk

I thought many reported less thread life on the R88R.....of course, I guess depending on how a person drives, it could change the order.
