wow.... I'm convinced. I for one will not line up for any "part throttle" race with that torque monster.
You also might not want to line up for any 2000 to 2500 rpm roll on races either. And I'm talking about flat to the floor, not part throttle. And these lower RPM's is where an automatic GT is while driving around all day. I'm sorry that everyone needs to relate this information always to racing. But when my wife gets out of a decent test drive and says "Is this a GT?, its slower them my Infiniti FX35" it goes to show these GT's don't have that low end fun pull for EVERYDAY DRIVING. Some of this opinion and some of this fact. But FOR ME I was pisses off that the GT in stock form was pretty boring driving around town until I would get to a long stretch or highway on ramp. And shame on me, but I do drive at part throttle instead of flat to the floor all the time from 4000 to 7000 rpm. Each to there own.

So what you're saying is...you don't feel that you should need to press the pedal down farther to go faster?

I can make any car feel sluggish if I lug it at low RPMs. You need to learn how to operate the vehicle for it's intended power-band. If the RPMs are too low, downshift or for an automatic, push the pedal down farther.

All of this part throttle talk is total BS. Push the damn pedal down farther if you want to go faster. If you want less throttle modulation, go buy a pedal max. You'll then be able to push the pedal down half way and have the car be at WOT.

yeah... us GT drivers live in constant fear of getting pulled by FX35 driving soccer mom's. I should of got a 4 cyl. Mustang and ruled the "part throttle" street scene.

Easy fella. Some of us on here are religious.

Your statement could be taken offensively.

Also, pretty much everything on this forum is opinionated. People like to toss around the "f" (fact) word quite a bit with no proof. So I'd take EVERYTHING somebody says with a grain of salt. Your experience may vary...

I must have a different GT because dropping into 4th from 6th while doing 75mph hits me like a brick in the back. You're at 110 in like 3 seconds. I can't fathom how someone would try to compare hitting the gas halfway while in the 2-3k rpm range in an automatic. What does that even mean??

Being offended is a choice you make.

That's kind of ignorant in my opinion.

I'm guessing having someone kill you is a choice you make as well isn't it? (rhetorical question btw)

You ever heard the saying if you don't believe in something, you'll fall for anything. It's true.

Yet you fired the first shot against something that's not allowed to be talked about on this forum. Nobody is trying to be tough, that's your opinion.

Who starts a roll race at 2000-2500 rpm? And even if you did, in an auto, you are going to pretty much instantly kick down into a lower gear and take off.

I get that the coyote isn't a stump puller in the lower rpms, but higher rpms are just a gear shift way - or a stab of the foot in an auto. And you certainly don't have to be 'flat to the floor' to get moving.

Since it seems you are driving an automatic, I really can't understand this 'lower rpm daily driving' argument - just press the gas a little more (doesn't have to be to the floor) and you will go.
