Helix DSP.3. I started out with RF DSR1 but it was junk, returned it and bought the Helix. Expensive but worth it

I’m using the DSR1. With the Maestro harness, it’s all plug and play. Very intuitive interface and lots of YouTube tutorials on how to setup and use it.

I would ask, what is your budget? What is your setup? Are you going active with all speakers, or using a passive crossover? How many channels do you need?

Buy once,cry once.

Helix is the best and simple to use.It also has auto-eq built in.Just plug a USB mic in and let it adjust it for you.

Helix DSP here. Helix is near the top in terms of quality and ease of use.

What's your budget?
After you set your budget look up which DSPs fall into your budget, then download the software for these DSPs and tinker with it offline.
The software that gives you the best "feel" should determine your choice within your budget.

That said... Helix is by far the best, but don't dismiss Mosconi, Audison, Alpine and others.

anyone have any thoughts about the JL Audio VX line of amps with built-in DSP?
They are good stuff. A bit pricey (at least over here in Germany), but very well made. The DSP is more than capable as well and can be linked together with more DSP amps from the same line which is a unique feature (think the Kicker Q-class can be linked as well).

You can download and play around with the JL Audio Tun software. Most of these DSP's give you an opportunity to download and play with it.

Quick questions - which harness did you use with your GT 350? Do you have the 8" Sync 3 electronics package?

We are upgrading our 350 and having some issues with getting a cable.

For the 9 speaker system you need the iDatalink HRN-AR-FO3 Harness

I used the JBL MS-8 in my Focus ST, was very happy with it. I think they discontinued that unit though.

You can download and play with the Helix software as well. Helix dsp here as well. Wasn't too bad to figure out at all. Diymobile forum is where you should go for more in depth knowledge on everything car audio.
