Which axle back?

I have the slp and it was pretty tame so I added a h pipe. That's why I say if you don't plan to remove the resonator the roush is your best bet.

Honestly while in the car when I still had my resonator inside noise was slightly higher than stock so I'd assume it wouldn't be much different with the roush.

How are the slp's with the H pipe? Any drone? I was thinking of doing this same setup.

I love it. I don't notice any drone and I do a lot of highway driving.

Can't go wrong with the roush either. Slp is practically same exhaust just has more packing for a tamer sound from what I've read online.

I just installed the Steeda and the sound is perfect, nice deep tone, no rasp or drone. Has just the right amount of loudness without being obnoxious.

I plan on going with the magnaflow competition axle back. You definitely have to keep the resonator if you don't like rasp(I don't)

I'll try to get a clip of my RTR's soon. I have the street version and they were very loud (too loud) with the H pipe but I reinstalled the resonator and they are perfect. IMO, they make the exact sound you said you are looking for. NO rasp and not too loud. Very deep sound and great rumble on the overrun. So fun to blip the throttle on downshifts.

And the tips fit perfectly. In some of the pics I've seen, they stick out too far but done properly they look fantastic.

Removing the resonator will result in high-RPM rasp and lots of it, at least with the stock mufflers.

I had the Steeda axle back fitted for 5 months (kept stock resonators). My car is also my daily driver.

I liked the low muscle car tone, and found it to be surprisingly louder than I expected. It is not quiet by any stretch of the imagination.

There was some drone at about 1250rpm when cruising, not unbearable, but be warned it is not drone free.

We agree! The Comp axleback gives you a very deep, and liveable tone. Its much quieter than the Comp catback, since you still maintain the stock center resonator.
