Like matchbox compact, or fiat 500 compact?
In the original place, behind the left kick panel.
Thats EXACTLY what I was hoping to do some day...I have a 2018 shaker pro and was wanting to put in an amp for my door 3.5s and 6.5s....would that be possible to do? I would I need to replace the stock amp entirely and run all 8 speakers on an aftermarket amp? I would be willing to go without the rear deck and center channel speakers all together. This is how my setup looks with the dash removed:
I built a custom plate, mounted it in the default location and added the amp and the crossover. The space is tight but it is all possible without removing the dash.
So, this is what I have in mind:It is definitely possible and that's exactly what I did. I run all 8 speakers from that single amp (no center and additional amp for the sub).
You don't have to replace the stock amp, but doing so, gives you more space for the new amp.
Removing the stock amp will eliminate noise cancellation and the fake engine noise (I guess).
Any suggestions?
