Where are the Shelbys?

I live in the Bay Area and we have quite a few GT350s around here. I've only seen TWO out in the wild not counting when car shows are in town or meetups.

I've seen 6 GT350's and 3 GT350 R's in the "wild".

2 of those last weekend... 1 Black Track Pack and 1 Black R.

This is not counting meetups or car shows...

1 AG R at Ford Store Morgan Hill (was fuhrius) I guess that one's cheating?
1 Black Track on Skyline/Hwy 9 (last Sun)
1 Black R at In-N-Out 1/4 mile from home (last Mon)

I've seen none in Qatar, but know of a few in and around military bases in Germany. In fact, to add insult to injury; I saw one DIB GT350 had been delivered right before I deployed.

And I look, all the time. Oddly enough I live in a suburb right outside NYC.
You would think I would have seen a few, not one but mine and three at dealers.

Not a single one on the road.

I do know this, every time I go out in it I get stares, smiles, thumbs up.
One guy rolled up next to me, he had his windows up, ac on, but I could see him mouth out " nice F-ing car LOL "

A lot of people don't know one Mustang from the next. However, car people do, and they go crazy when they see you. I have had people follow me into gas stations, park, and come over and want to see and talk about the car.

It is really incredible the amount of recognition you get in this vehicle.

Finally after a month I made it to New York and picked up my ride. I can't say enough about it and have a long road trip back to Seattle to really settle into it. Wife took a pic while we headed to lunch.

So, I am currently on a cross country drive from Seattle to New York to pick up my Shelby (also stopping for business along the way). I made it all the way to Davenport, Iowa and have only seen 1 so far!! A white with blue stripes Des Moines. Kept an eye out and that the only one. Perfect weather so far. Come on guys get those rides out.

Where in NY did you pick it up?

Davidson ford in Watertown. Also no BS I wasn't on the road 45min and another Black GT 350 comes blasting by!! What are the odds?

Oh man. Watertown... nothing up there for at least an hour of that place. Be glad you got it when you did, it's probably 30 degrees up there now. Can't believe you saw another GT350 up that way. When I drove mine through Watertown in July a couple kids in a Focus ST gave me thumbs up and said "I love your car!"

I've heard rumors that there's a black one around here (Southern Tier) but I've never seen it. I have spotted one with PA plates but only once.

I just drove mine from MN to FL this Sunday and Monday. Bought it in Feb and drove it down, drove it back up in July for Northwoods Track Event at Road America and left it at my place up there and just drove it back down - just passed 11,500 miles. I saw and orange w/ black stripes near the WI/IL border Sunday morning - I presume he was at the MCA track event this weekend.

As for in Fort Myers - I see at least one or 2 a week - but there's a lot of money down here in Fort Myers/Naples. A member in the Mustang Club has a white/blue tech, another has a white/blue R, race red w/ white, ruby w/black, magnetic, black w/blue. Another guy I know has a yellow R. I haven't seen either of the R's out, but I know they drive them.

I saw a magnetic w/blue I think out on Sanibel in front of Doc Fords a few months back - may of been one of those.

I saw your car driving in the paddock. I could hear you coming and going for quite a distance. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to come over and talk. How did you finish and what car were you in?
