When to Wax?

Does anyone know if Ford specifies a recommend waiting time from the date of build to the first time you can wax the car? In other words, is there a "paint cure time" for our Mustangs?

No more curing for these cars. Paint is baked on.

My salesman said they do not wax them unless asked "b/c the paint needs time to cure".

I had no idea they did not wax it (my first new car). So I am heading outside to clean, clay and wax in a bit....

I clau bar, but then I use Zaino...not wax. I've never been able to get the optical clarity I get from Zaino with a wax.

I washed, clayed and waxed mine this past weekend. Only had her for a week so far. I definitely saw contaminants in the clay.

Factory paint is cured already so you can put wax whenever you want to.
