When to wax 1st time

Picked up car 5 weeks ago..Dealer did not wax car..I read I should wait 60 days for paint to bond..Is this true?..

Nope. The paint is baked on now. You can detail it as soon as you get it home. No more cure time.

i washed, clayed, waxed the car within 4 days of ownership

Factory paint is cured when it is applied so you can apply products to it on day 1. On a fresh paint job (body shop, etc) you should wait 30-45 days for it to cure.

Instead of wax,try a product called KLASSE.it is a glaze sealant acrylic,Non abrasive,rust proof protection,contains no water,non chip elastic finish detergent safe,anti static protectiveshield against corrosive elements,exceptional long lasting shine and protection. ( LASTS 12 MONTHS) 2 fL oZ DOES A WHOLE CAR,EASY ON EASY OFF.I have used this product and it is great no more wax for me. $25,00 at Auto Geek for 16.9 Fl OZ Made in Germany been around since1973,give it a try you will NEVER use wax again.
