I was looking up torq spec to lug nuts seen spec was 148-150 ft. Was searching around in Fordracing.com looked up 2015 1/2 shaft instructions they show 150 ft. I'm guess wheel studs are bigger on S550

well damn! I have been torquing mine to 100# and they havent fallen off... yet! Ill probably bring mine up to 120# since you brought it up... but I dont know if I want to find out if my forgestars with conical lugs will take 150#.

Yes, the factory torque spec is 150ft lbs. This changed on the '15's.

You may have gotten away with it
But if wheel does come off cause damage or death you be left holding the bag. I would torque wheels to what ford spec is.


I use to semi tires had set of duals come off it killed ĂĄ person. But issue wasn't me. Was truck was built with steel on steel wheels owner changed wheels to alum on alum which are thicker. Need to change hub studs to be 1 inch longer. I told him they need to be changed owner told me I have been doing this year's he's never had a problem. Even after showing him wheel spec book told me I'm wrong. I bet now he listened to me
