You seem to keep forgetting or lack the experience that many other "sports cars" that have similar limp modes many much worse. If you don't like the car cancel your order or change it to what suites your needs.
Thanks for the judgement and advice. Unfortunately, you don't have enough information about me for the advice to be of use. Thanks, nonetheless.

I agree and well said.

Perfect example of name calling and bashing.
Mr. Hack - I saw your post and instantly reviewed what I wrote. I was unable to find any name calling or bashing in the post. I think you are a tad bit sensitive about facts being presented.

You've posted plenty of opinions and judgements to have ample information to determine the tech pack you ordered is not the car you want.

Yes but he is going to buy it anyway and then sue Ford if it doesn't pull a 6 minute Nurburgring time

Greatly appreciate your concern. Please advise me on my options, given your ample knowledge. I will also accept counsel on judgements of others and take corrective action if examples are provided. Thanks again for your sincere concern.

Any chance you starred in the grey poupon commercials?

No, but I'll accept that arrangement if offered. Thanks for the compliment. Fortunately, it's not about me. It's about a car's ability to perform to the level advertised.

My personal thoughts are that Ford was surprised by the transmission cooling issues. I'm guessing they assumed it would be as good as a normal 5.0GT. The statements made by them support this with talk of "track package" for "sustained" track use.

Problem with that is that the 5.0GT has a case with more surface area and a little bit of cooling fins.
Problem with that is that the 5.0GT sees a far lower avg RPM and thus a far lower HP absorbed by the transmission
Problem with that is that the GT350 reduces the airflow across the transmission by hood vents, fender vents, and more shrouding.

So we have 20min or less when Ford was expecting 30min of track use before limp mode.

Could be I'm sensitive. I don't mind being called sensitive though. ;)

I am bothered by the implications that I'm fat and that I don't care about performance in a performance car, etc. however. IMO the seats in the tech package are far from couches. There is significant bolstering that my hips are on top of and the middle of my back doesn't rest against the seat due to the bolstering in the seat back. I'm not a little guy, but even if I were fat, my belly doesn't interact with the seat at all. Like most men, I carry very little fat on my hips and lats.

I also don't like the implication that I'm stupid for buying a tech pack car and thinking that I could take it to an HPDE a couple times a year with no problems. It didn't bother me too much initially because I know myself better than that and I remember very clearly how seriously I took my car buying decision, but it gets very old being hammered over and over with those insults. Seriously.

A reasonable explanation- thanks.

Wow... What an awesome thread of stabbing each other over nothing you all can control. There is a fix in the works... Just be patient guys.

Tech pack vs track pack guys? Really?!

We should all be concerned with what Chevy has coming down the pipes rather than bashing each other.

Are the tech pack guys really stabbing the track pack guys, or are they just asking for the track pack guys to stop stabbing them?

Does it really matter?... You guys are cut from the same cloth. Just cause one car is set up to be more of a boulevard cruiser than a track queen from the factory doesn't mean you guys should attack one another.

You got NAV in a tech... Track guys got coolers. Priorities...

Nav wasn't really the priority for me. It was them sofas. Best sofas I've ever owned so far. Though they feel oddly like a sport bucket seat. It's SO WEIRD.
