I would stick with your order. I was in the same boat but my wife told to wait and get what I want which is what I ordered. You're going to kick yourself whenever you see your preferred colored mustang being driven by someone else.

Yeah, that's the thing; there's nothing on my car I could really give up. Like, I could maybe -- MAYBE -- see taking Guard instead of Deep Impact Blue. But I couldn't do without the automatic, or the nav, or the 50th Anniversary Appearance Package. I'd like to not have to do without the spare tire either. I could probably do without the 401(a), I suppose.

At the very least, see if they'll do a dealer trade and honor the equivalent of the price you were quoted at the beginning of the order process. But yeah, I'd wait until Thursday just to make sure.

I would stick to the color and options you originally wanted.

Why dont you go through dealers closest to you on the list in this link and cross reference the vins on Cotus and see where the cars are. YOU may find one very close to your options not too far away, available or available soon.

http://www.southfloridaford.com/Inv...&zipCode=90001#callback=reanimateSession&data[zipCode]=90001&data[dealer]=04903&data[vehicle]=2015+Ford+Mustang&data[sortDesc]=false&data[page]=1

I tried this in California but the TY I orderd is a very rare color so much harder to find.

Good luck and say hi to Jav.

I'd stay with the car I ordered. If it's your money wait for what you want, don't settle for what you can get right now.

Similar situation. My order is black, pp, 400a, recaro.
Different dealer stock is black, pp, 401a, no recaro.
Figured the car won't arrive until 11/01 so that gives time for me to even get a vin before I check out another dealer.

If you jump ship now and get the black, the first time you see a red one, especially with the Recaros, you are going to kick yourself in the ass. ;)

Hey, you already changed your signature  :tsk:

I've had my black GT500 for 3 years, the first 3 months I didn't mind washing twice a week, quick detailing twice a week, and dusting twice a day.
Because it looks badass when it is soooo clean.
So, for 2 years and 9 months I was kicking myself for getting black, after the first year I was thinking of trading in on another GT500 just too change the color.

No offense to people who like black cars, I'm actually one of them, but I really like my cars to be clean and look clean, the black rarely every looks clean, I just can't make a full time job of cleaning my car.

Here is an example, I take my car to the car wash (always wash myself, never ever use a brush) I even use compressed air can to spray out excess water from around the mirrors, gas cap, taillights, front grille, etc.
I drive home from car wash and I have small spots all along the side of the car, under the headlights, back bumper, etc.
So now, I get out the quick detailer and wipe it down again. Ahhh, better.
Next day, back too dusting morning before work, late afternoon, after work.
By the third day, spots, dirt, dust, bee poop, etc starting too show up, so now break out the duster and quick detailer and do the whole car again.
Keep in mind, this is a daily driver though.

In comparison, my Subaru WRX (silver) wash every two weeks, maybe hit it with the duster every once in awhile, and it still looks reasonably clean.

In order for me to purchase a black car again, they would have to knock off another $5K in the price. I'd be willing to wait 3-4 months extra just to not have to spend all of my time cleaning my car.

:clap2:
