Hi guys, i recently purchased a gt with the performance pack this summer and was wondering what procedures i should do for storage. I have never stored a car for the winter and i want some insight on what i should do, is there something i can put in the fuel? should i put it on jack stands, do i put a battery charger on it? just a few things i was wondering about. Any insights are greatly appreciated.

Put it in the garage for the night after driving it every day. it's a car enjoy it. Put studs on it if you get snow and drive it like you stole it.

Are you not gonna drive it at all?
Things to do before putting it away.
Drive the car for at least 1 hour to let all moisture out of the fluids.
Clean inside and outside the car, and make sure they are dry or mildew will grow.
Dump a can of seafoam in the gas tank and fill all the way.
Pump tires up to 40PSI so they dont get flat over time.
If your garage has pests, I would put some trap around the car also cover up exhausts so they dont make nests in them.
Either disconnect battery or put it on a battery tender.

Just put mine in storage...

I just put my EB Convert into storage. I have a machine shed with a concrete floor. There is no way to stop vermin from entering a machine shed. So I bought a 'car bag'. Concrete floors tend to wick moisture into rubber, so I first laid down a waterproof tarp then the car bag followed by a cheap poly tarp. The layers will block any moisture coming up through the floor into the tires. The car bag came with 5 lbs of moisture dessicant bags which I laid around the Mustang. I also laid down quite a few dryer softener sheets, which supposedly will repel rodents.
I had changed the oil and filter and pumped up the tires to 40 lbs. Because I am never certain how long the electronics can sit without a new charge, I connected a good quality battery minder to the battery.
I zipped up the bag and plugged in the battery minder. When I go out to the shed, I just look to at the minder LEDs.

I feel that the expense of the car bag is worth knowing that no varmints are going to nest or store stuff in the engine or passenger compartments. I had a chipmunk fill the air filter in a 'stored' van with acorns one winter and died in the heater duct the following winter.

My car has been sitting for about 2 weeks. I picked up a battery tender (DOA) returned it for a Canadian tire equivalent and it showed by battery as being "low". I'm surprised that it would get that low in only 2 weeks. definitely a good investment.

Just put mine away today. Adding to above: baking soda package in interior, tires pumped up closer to max psi (51 on my BFGs), hand brake off, manual transmission in neutral, wheel chocks, steel wool in exhaust pipes (didn't bother with the inlet). I drove over a plastic drop sheet and pulled it up the sides as far as I could. Covered with car cover. I read you could crack the windows, but I didn't.

First attempt at adding fuel stabiilzer was a big mess; many swear words were directed at the capless fuel filler. Had to buy a funnel ($2) specifically designed for putting additives into these types of fillers.

Also, I read differing opinions on jack stands. I'm siding with the people who say suspension sag is probably a bad thing.

Resist the temptation to start it up every now and then.

Your car came with a funnel to be able to pour in any additives.

Aw crap. Just found the thread about it being in the trunk. I guess I should have given Ford more credit.

FYI, Bounce dryer sheets are a very effective mouse deterrent. Just toss a few inside here and there and under the hood and trunk, done.

And the bonus is the car smells great inside when it comes out of storage.
